The last day at my parents farm and after a clody day, we had a lovely 'mountain lighting'.

After several days working at the farm, we mdecided to make a trip to Rattenberg. Where we enjoyed the warm air and looked in some of the shops (Woodcraft, Glass a.s.o). At the end we made a walk around the Kramsach lake.

Nach einigen Tagen arbeit auf dem Hof, machten wir einen Abstecher nach Rattenberg. Wo wir einen Blick in verschiedene Geschaefte (Glas, Holzarbeiten usw) warfen. Zum Schluss machten wir einen kleinen Spaziergang um den Kramsach See.

During the week in austria we went to Christina, up to the mountain hut, we went for a hike through the forest higher up the mountain. Later on we help Tini with bringing the cows in the barn and Keith slipt and fell straight in the cow shit.

Waehrend der Woche im oesterreich waren wir meine Schwester Christina auf der Alm besuchen. Wir machten eine Wanderung durch den Wald auf durch auf die Hochalm. Spaeter halfen wir ihr die Kuehe in den Stall zu bringen und wer es glaub Keith rutschte aus und fiel rein in die Kuhscheisse.

The day before we went back home we stoped by, by keith brother. we had a lovely day out, in the 'Alice Holt wood', we had ice creme and played with a Phoo-bear ball.

Den Tag bevor wir nach Hause fuhren, machten wir einen Halt bei Keith's Bruder. Wir hatten einen schoenen spaziergang im 'Alice Holt Wood' park, wo wir Eis creme hatten und mit einem Pooh-baer Ball auf der Wiese spielten.

Kate and Rueb, friends of us were at the concert with us, it was prilliant. Well, on the way back to the train I lost the group. I only had eyes for keith and as I turned to Kate and Rueb they were gone , when i turned back to keith, he was gone too. well at the end we found each out.

Kate und Ruebs waren auch auf dem Konzert mit uns, es war echt toll. naja und wie es dazu gehoert, beim Rueckweg zum Zug verlor ich meine Gruppe. Ich hatte nur augen fuer Keith und als ich mich um schaut waren Kate und Rueb verschwunden. Ich sah zurueck zu Keith und auch er war verschwunden. naja zum Schluss fanden wir uns ja wieder.

It's a long time ago that I had been to a Concert. So many weirred people, but very funny. The wether was amazing to, sunny almost all the time through the concert.

Mensch, war schon lange nicht mehr auf ein Konzert. Solche schraege Typen liefen da herum, aber sehr lustig. dass Wetter war genial, purrer Sonnenschein.

What a day, after a lovely breakfast we went to York. Unfortunately we didn't know there was a horse race on that weekend and we couldn't park where we wanted. Keith and I thought it would be nice idea to walk along the river into York. It was disappointing when we found the river but no path, so we decided to take the bus instead.

Welch ein Tag, nach einem herrlichen Fruehstueck gings nach York. Leider wussten wir nicht, dass ein Pferderennen angesagt war und wir nicht dort parken konnten wo wir wollten. Keith und ich dachten es waere schoen neben dem Fluss entlang nach York zu wandern. Wir fanden den Fluss, jedoch es gab keinen Weg, so wir entschieden uns fuer den Bus.

We spent a whole afternoon in 'Saltaire Mill' Museum. It was hot and the air was stale, but very interesting to learn about the development of this town. After that we went to Bradford, where we went to a curry house 'Mumtaz' to have our evening meal. Curry is a MUST in England parallel to 'roast beef' and 'fish&chips' one of the main meals in the country!

Wir verbrachten einen Nachmittag lang in 'Saltair Mill' Museum. Es war heiss und abgestandene Luft umgab uns, aber sehr interessant einiges ueber die Entwicklung dieses Dorfes zu erfahren. Danach ginges nach Bradford wo wir in einem vornehemen CurryHaus 'Mumtas' unser Abendmal zu uns nahmen. Curry ist ein MUSS, da es neben 'Roast Beef' and 'Fisch&Chips' eines der Hauptmalzeiten ist.

Who can believe that we had sunshine for weeks here in England. Well, when Inge, Stefan and the little Jacob came to visit us in England, we took the opportunity to have a picnic on 'Norland Moors'. After this walk and climb we deserved a meal. We drank Gruenen Veltliner, ate couscous salad and listened to Inge's lullaby for Jakob.

Wer kann es glauben wir hatten wochenlang schoenes Wetter, hier in England. Als Inge, Stefan und der kleine Jakob nach England kammen, ergriffen wir die Gelegenheit, um ein Picknick zu machen bei 'Norland Moor'. Nach diesem Aufstieg und Wanderung hatten wir dieses Picknick wohl verdient. Wir tranken Gruenen Veltliner, assen Cuscus salat und hoerten zu beim Schlaflied singen.

We drove to a camping shop, where we saw a few good things. We bought our picnic rucksac and then we went straight to a lake. There was a good Italien restaurant and we had a cold beer outside. The best thing was there were no dogs allowed! I never had a good relationship with dogs. The walk around the lake was romatic but unfortunately too many people.

Nach dem wir im Campinggeschaeft waren und unseren Picknick Rucksack gekauft und wir fuhren gerade zu einem See. Dort fanden wir einen richtig guten Italiena und dass beste war, dort waren keine Hunde erlaubt. Ich hatte nie eine gute Beziehung mit Hunden. Wir sassen im Freien und hatten ein herrliches, kaltes Bier. Es war auch richtig schoen und idoelisch um den See zu wandern, leider sehr viele Leute.

At the end we managed to make a hike on the Wilden Kaiser. Unfortunately it wasn't the sunniest day of the week and we couldn't go all the way up to the top of the mountains. That is why we stayed on the 'Wilden-Kaiser-Steig' path and still it took us 8 hours. By a crossing to the Scheffauer peak, we heard some stones falling down and two Mountain deers ran right past us! wow.........

Wir schafften es doch noch, wir machten eine Tour am Wilden Kaiser. Leider war es etwas zu bewoelkt und wir konnten nicht ganz nach oben, auf die Spitze. Also blieben wir auf dem 'Wilden-Kaiser-Steig' und wir waren unterwegs fuer 8h. Bei einer Abzweigung zum Scheffauer hoerten wir Geroell fallen und dann liefen zwei Steinboecke bei uns vorbei. wow.........

The start of our holiday in Ellmau began with picking red currents. As you can see the next few days were spent on the fields. I felt like I hadn't left the farm. Keith had a lot of fun.

Wow, that was an experience. Walking a long that ridge at 5:30 in the morning. Several times we thought we were lost but we made it to the top. It was amazing comeing down the and others walking up into the scary unknowing............

Wow, dass war ein Erlebniss. Um 5:30 in der Frueh wanderten wir am Grad des 'Crib Goch'. Einige male kammen wir vom Weg ab, aber wir schafften es doch zur Spitze. Es war ein gutes Gefuehl, als wir uns mehr und mehr vom Nebel entfernten. Es war erstaunlich so viele Leute zu treffen bei unserem Abstieg, die sich trotzdem Nebel, auf dem Weg ins ungewisse machten.

While Keith was taking the picture of the sunset, I disappeared quietly climbing up a rock wall. Where I was able to watch him from the distance. It was the first time in years and years that I was sleeping in a bunk bed and in a room where I was able to hear every conversation from the other room!

Waehrend Keith seine Fotos vom Sonnenuntergang machte, kletterte ich ruhig und leise den Berge hinauf. Wo ich von der Entfernung Keith beobachten konnte. Es sind schon einige Jahre vergangen, seit dem ich in einem Stockbett schlief. Wo man jedes Gespraech vom Nachbarzimmer hoeren kann, als waere er in unserem Zimmer.

First day at Snowdonia, we wanted to check in at our Youth Hostel we weren't able to get a parking place. It was very busy and we got blocked in the bus lane, with one driver shouting at us and the other hitting the horn! We decided to move on and see what else we could do for the day. We stopped in a small car park next to a lake and I sat down on a rock and read my book in the sun, whilst Keith took pictures of the flora and fauna.

Unser erster Tag in Snowdonia. Wir wollte uns in unserer Jungendherrberge einquartieren, jedoch war kein parking Platz verfuegbar.Es war sehr viel los und wir wurden von zwei Busen in der Buspark-Linie eingeklembt. Der hinter Busfahrer huppte und der andere bevor uns schrie wie verrueckt! So wir entschieden uns weiter zu fahren um uns ein bischen die Gegend an zu schaun. Wir parkten in einem kleinen Parkplatz neben einem kleinen See, wo ich mich auf einen Stein setzte und ein Buch las, waehrend Keith Fotos von der Umgebung machte.

I can't believe that this is a part of England, it is so beautiful. I even was able to put my foot in to a lake and little fishes were swimming around it. Oh, as we walked back an elderly couple approached us and said, we have met before. Apparently they met someone before with a camera and a girlfriend wearing orange.

Ich glaub es nicht, dass ist ein Teil von England. Es ist so schoen und warm. Ich konnte sogar meinen Fuss in den Teich halten, wo Fische um meinen Fuss schwammen. Ha, als wir zurueck wanderten zum Auto, ein aelteres Paerchen kam zu uns und meinte wir haben uns schon gesehen. Naja, die Beiden sind wohl schon jemanden begegned, wo er eine Kamera ums Genick hatte und desen Freundin in orange gekleidet war.

It was so nice to see. A local old fisherman sitting on his boat and watching the harbour life. As Keith took his picture, an American guy appeared from the bushes and because he was into cameras as well he started to talk to Keith straight away. He told us parts of his live and I think Keith is talking to foreigners better than before.

Es war richtig urig den alten einheimischen Fischer in seinem Boot zu sehen, waehrend er dass treibende Leben im Hafen beobachte. Waehrend Keith seine Fotos machte, tauchte ein Amerikaner hinter der Boeschung hervor. Ich glaube er teilte Keith's Interesse an der Fotografie, da er gleich ein Gespraech mit Keith ueber die Kamera begann und er erzaehlte uns sehr viel uebersich und seiner Familie. Seit Keith diese Kamera besitz sprechen ihn viel fremde Leute an, sogar Keith ist offener als bevor.

Funny!!! In Wales they talk funny and they are very proud of it. Even the shop signs and direction signs are shown in two languages, we didn't understand a word. At the harbour we saw a family (grandma, parents and a child), the dad had obviously planned the trip on their boat however, you could tell none of the others wanted to go. Even the dog barked like crazy on the boat and the child had a good moan as well.

Witzig!!! In Wales die Einheimischen sprechen eine ganz witzige Sprache und die sind sehr stolz darauf. Sogar alle Geschaefter und Wegweisser sind in zwei Sprachen angefuehrt, wir verstanden kein einziges Wort. Jedoch, dort am Hafen war eine Familie (Oma, Eltern u. ein Kind). Diese Episode verstanden wir ganz gut. Der Vater hat eine Segeltour geplant und ich denke Oma und Tochter wollten wohl nicht unbedingt mit fahren. Der Hund bellte wie verrueckt im Bod und das Kind war wohl auch nicht sehr begeistert von der angehenden Reise.

As we were down at Keith's parents in Devon and the sun was shining down on us, we decided to play a game of croquet. I have to say it was very amusing, it was funny and we had a laugh playing it, unfortunatly I was bad at the technical stuff and lost most of the time.

Als wir in Devon waren bei Keith's Eltern waren und es so richtig sonnig war, dachten wir ein Spiel Croquet wuerde ganz amuesant sein. Ich muss sagen es war richtig witzig und lustig. Wir hatten viel Spass, leider war ich sehr schlecht im technische und verlor meistens, aber was solls. Das Spiel der Reichen .....!!

The Swaledale Festival had its inaugural Quoits competition which consisted of four hardy farmers. Didn't pluck up the courage to ask the rules, it didn't look very complicated though.

Das Swaledale Fest presentierte ein Hufeisen werfen Veranstaltung, welches aus vier hart gesottenen Maennern bestand. Keith hatte nicht den Muhm, nach den Regeln zu fragen. Uebriegends es sah nicht all zu kompliziert aus.

Finally, I saw my first Puppet show „Punch and Judy“. The children were gathered in front of the stage with big eyes, even when it started to rain. The rain belongs to the English festivals,just like in Austria when we have our village festivals.

Endlich sah ich mein erstes Puppenspiel “Punch and Judy” – “Schlaeger und Judy“. Die Kinder standen nur mit grossen Augen vor der Buehne und sogar als es anfing zu regnen. Der Regen gehoert wohl zu den englischen Festen dazu, wie bei uns, bei unseren Dorffesteln.

It felt like being at home just like in Hintertux in Austria. However Hintertux is a little bit steeper and in a tighter valley. The stone walls brought me back in to the English country side, as well as the sheep. The funny thing is that Keith is already starting to compare parts of England with Austria as well.

Es fuellte sich einwenig an als waeren wir zu Hause, wie in Hintertux in Oesterreich. Jedoch ist es einwenig enger und ein steilers Gebierge. Die Steinmauer brachten mich wieder zurueck in, dass englische Laendle, so wie die vielen Schafe. Das witzige ist, Keith faengt auch schon an, Teile von England mit Oesterreich zu vergleichen.

We were sitting a long time in the car before we decided to go for a walk. All the time when we thought it would be sunny enough it started to rain again. Finally we decided to go and I’m glad, the waterfalls were beautiful.

Wir sassen ewig lang im Auto bevor wir uns entschlossen, einwenig zu wandern. Immer wenn wir dachten, dass es sonnig genug sei, fing es wieder an zu regnen. Am ende entschlossen wir uns doch und Gott sei dank die Wasserfaelle waren wunder schoen.

At one time, I thought my mum was walking with us. Keith thought we didn’t have to follow the path, we could walk across the rocks, steps and slippery hills, roughly in the direction where we came from. At this spot, we luckily got back on a path, it actually was a short cut to our next destination.

Waehrend wir so unterwegs waren dachte ich meine Mutter wandert mit uns. Keith nahm sich vor nicht auf dem Weg zurueck zukehren, sondern quer Feld ein, ueber Steine, steilen und rutschigen Huegeln. Naja ungefaehr in die Richtung von wo wir kamen. An diesem Platz stossen wir gluecklicher Weise auf einen Wanderweg und eigentlich war dies eine Abkuerzung zu unserem naechsten Ziel.

Before we got out of the car, to have a look at „Easby Abbey“, I had to try a bit of my homemade cuscus salad. I couldn’t wait until lunch time! Keith had to pull me out of the car, because I couldn’t stop eating. As we walked around and took some picture, we met a mum with her teenager son. He had found a MP3-player and he asked as, if we had lost it. We couldn’t lie, not at this place, an Abbey! I bet it was not a bad one though……

Bevor wir aus dem Auto ausstiegen um uns “Easby Abbey“ an zu schauen, musste ich etwas von meinem selbst gemachten Cuscus Salat essen. Ich konnte nicht bis zu Mittag warten! Keith musste mich aus dem auto zerren, da ich nicht aufhoeren konnte zu essen. Als wir so herum liefen und Fotos machten, traffen wir auf eine Mutter mit ihrem teenager Sohn. Er hatte einen MP3-Spieler gefunden und er fragte uns, ob er uns gehoere. Wir konnten nicht Luege, nicht an diesem Ort, im Kloster! Ich wette es waere gar nicht so ein schlechter gewesen...............

We were sitting in the John Lennon bar and were listening to a few bands. Most of them were really good. Some would have been better, if they would have only played the instruments. Did you know, this bar had two floors! In the cellar was only the mens toilet, so my brain thought that the other floor would be the ladies toilet!! How embarrassing, that wasn’t the case. I went straight into another mens toilet. When I came back out, all of them laughed and pointed at the door where a stick-woman sign was on the door.

Wir sassen in der John Lennon Bar und hoerten uns einige Bands an. Die meisten waren wirklich gut, andere waeren besser gewesen wenn sie nur die Instrumente gespielt haetten. Habt ihr gewusst, dass diese Bar in Zwei Stoecke geteilt ist! Da war nur ein Maenner Clo im Keller, so mein Gehirn dachte, dass im anderen Stock nur die Damen Toilete waere!! Wie peinlich, dass draf nicht zu. Ich ging gerade wegs ins Maenner Clo. Als ich wieder raus kam, alle lachte und zeigten in die Richtung mit der Tuer, wo ein Strichmaenchen mit einem Rock, darauf klebte.

I was awake since 6 o’clock and about 10am we had our breakfast in „the Albert Docks“in a French cafe, where we enjoyed this view. To my disappointment, I had a watery coffee and a tough croissant. Keith had a cheese and ham crepe, which was not much better…………………

Ich war wach seit 6 Uhr und ungefaehr um 10:00 hatten wir unser Fruehstueck, in „the Albert Docks“ in einem franzoesischen Cafe, wo wir diese Aussicht genossen. Zur meiner Entaeuschung hatte ich einen wassrigen Cappucino und ein zaehes Croissant. Keith hatte ein Kaese, Schinken Crepes, welches nicht besser war........

Man, how romantic! The sea, the lights and a beautiful view, but as you can image we had a small problem. It was so windy that we had difficulties getting to the other end.

Mensch, wie romantisch! Das Meer, Lichter und eine schoene Aussicht, aber wie ihr euch denken koennt, hatten wir ein kleines Problem. Es war so windig, dass wir ziemliche Schwierigkeiten hatten ans ander Ende zu kommen.

This picture was taken when we tried to run away from two 'bird watchers', which kept on bumping into us. We thought we would take the steeper route, because they didn't look very sporty. However on the way we lost the sight of our path returning to the car and ended up crossing the fields. We followed the tracks of the sheep to get closer to our destination.

Dieses Foto wurde gemacht, als wir von zwei 'Vogel-Schauern' flohen, die wir immer wieder trafen. So dachten wir, wir nehmen die steilere Route, da die beiden nicht all zu sportlich aussahen. Jedoch kamen wir vom weg ab und wir mussten ueber die Felder. Wir folgten den Spuren der Schafe, um wieder einwenig naeher zu unserem Ziel zu kommen. 'Parkplatz'

Ohhh what a beautiful walk in the woods. Keith really wanted to take a picture of a bunch of 'blue-bells'. Well, the main focus is the path but you can see some blue bells hovering around the picture.....

Here we had to stop almost every 5min, because Keith thought the current place looked better than the place before. He was right and here we stood for longer, because he wanted to try different techniques with his new camera. While I was doing exercises.

Zu diesem Bild kann ich nicht all zu viel sagen, auser dass wir jede 5min stehen bleiben musste, da Keith immer meinte der naechste Platz waer besser als der vorige. Er hatte Recht und hier standen wir fuer laenger da er verschiedene Techniken ausprobierte wollte. Mit seiner neuen Kamera, waehrend ich Stretchuebungen machte.

At that point we decided to make another round, because the screaming kids got over our limit. So we thought a calm, chewing ??cow?? is a relaxing thing.

At the same time after taking the shot of the lioness went around the corner, where we tried to capture a yawning 'king of the jungle'. Unfortunatly this pic was too blurred! It was a bit scary, drive through the group, even Keith jumped while a lioness had a closer look at our car.

Im selben Zeitraum, wo wir jenes Foto von der Loewin schossen. Fuhren wir um die Ecke, wo wir versuchten ein Foto vom gaehnenten Loewen zu machen. Leider war dieses nicht so scharf! Ich muss sagen, es war etwas unangenehm, als wir durch dieses Rudel fuhren. Keith huepfte, als eine Loewin ein wenig naeher zu unserem Autofenster kam.

Taken at Knowsley Safari Park. We were able to drive around the park in our little Citreon C2. This is was taken early in the morning probably just after the lions had been fed. They were all sitting very still in the grass minding their own business. When we went back in the afternoon, there were far too many people that it was more like a traffic jam than anything else. One jaguar (car) just pushed in front of everyone and then didn''t move from infront of the lione for the next ten minutes. grrrr

Dieses Foto wurden in Knowsley Safari Park gemacht. Wir fuhren mit unserem kleinen Citreon C2 durch den Tierpark. Dieses Foto wurde frueh am morgen, wahrscheinlich gerade nach dem die Loewen gefuettert wurden, geschossen. Die sassen alle ruhig im Grass und nahmen unsere Gegenwart nicht zur Kenntniss. Als wir am Nachmittag noch mal durch fuhren, waren viel zu viele Autos dort. Es glich mehr einem Auto-Stau, als alles andere. Ein Jaguar (Auto) ueberholte, schob sich voran an die Schlange, blieb vor den Loewen stehen und bewegte sich nicht fuer die naechste 10 min. grrrrr

We were walking up and down along the cliffs most of the day. I needed somewhere to sit down and there I found a daisy. This reminded me of Mothers Day and how we used to pick bunches of flowers for her.

Wir liefen den ganzen Tag auf und ab, entlang den Klippen. Ich musste mich wo hin setzten und da fand ich ein paar Gaensebluemchen, Kuckucksblumen. Da musste ich an Muttertag denken, wie wir als Kinder Blumenstraeusse machten fuer meine Mum.

The gannet is Britain's largest bird with a five and a half foot wingspan, they talk to each other by bowing and 'sky-pointing' and they only lay one egg per season. At Bempton we saw thousands of these birds flying around but we really went to see a puffin. Only when we chatted with a local did we manage to see a couple of these tiny birds right down the cliff.

Die Basstoelpel ist einer von den groessten Voegel von England mit einer Spannweite von 1.5m. Diese Voegel sprecken mit einander durch beugen und 'Himmelanbettung' und die liegen nur ein Ei pro Saison. Wir sahen tausende von diesen Voegeln in Bempton, aber eigentlich fuhren wir dorthin um Papageitaucher zu sehen. Nur weil wir mit einem Einwohner von dort sprachen, gelang es uns ein Paar von diesen Voegeln zu sehen.

Some of my family only think of England as having awesome cliff views. Unfortunatly I don't see it like that every day because I live much further inland at the moment. It was beautiful and pleasant to watch those birds flying around the whole day but very loud. All day long they were squabbling and fighting with each other.

Einige von meiner Familie, kennen England hauptsaechlich nur von dieser Pracht, Felsen und die See. Leider, sehe ich diese Pracht auch nicht jeden Tag, da ich im moment weiter im Innland lebe. Es war schoen und angenehm, waehrend dem ganzen Tag, diesen Voegeln beim herumfliegen zu zuschaun. Jedoch waren sie sehr laut. Ich glaube einige der Voegel waren richtige Streithaehne.

Wow, can you see the bird? With it's yellow head and the black eye liner. We got up really early on this day and drove 1 1/2h in the car to the sea. I still had a bit of a hangover from the day before, but it was a lovely day. A little bit windy, but who cares, it kept me awake.

Wow, seht ihr den Vogel? Der mit dem gelben Kopf/Hut und den schwarzen eyeliner. An diesem Tag standen wir sehr frueh auf, um ungefaehr 1 1/2h mit dem Auto an die See zu fahren. Ich hatte jedoch noch mit dem Kater vom Vortag zu kaempfen, aber es war trotzdem ein schoener Tag. Es war ein bischen windig, aber was solls, es hielt mich wach.

After we all ran outside applauding, there were a few photos taken by Mandie's brother. Then her father threw some edible confetti. Much quicker than some weddings where you have to stand around for ages.

Managed to capture the 'first kiss'! Both Mandie and Thespina were very nervous before the ceremony, after they were married, they were really relaxed and the drinks started flowing.

Wir fotografierten den 'Ersten Kuss'! Mandie und Thespina waren sehr nervoes vor deren Standesamtlichen Hochzeit. Nacht dem sie sich, dass Ja-wort gaben waren beide sehr entspannt und die Getraenke flossen.

At this Pub I had my first Hot-scokolade with Rum, well it wasn't as good as home in austria never mind. Also Keith had a cup and his parents as well. We had to warm up a bit after the walk through the snow. There was a old mountain hut feeling to it.

In diesem Pub trank ich meine erste Heisse-Schoko mit Rum hier in England, leider nicht so gut wie zu Hause, aber macht ja nichts. Sogar Keith hatte eine Tasse und seine Eltern. Wir mussten uns ja einwenig aufwaermen, nach einem kleinen Spaziergang durch den Schnee und es war so richtig Berghuetten atmosphere, urig .

It was cold, of course I was going to ask Manu to go to the car! This was the heaviest snow I've seen in England for a few years. It was great the roads were blocked therefore we couldn't go to work the next day. Another days holiday!!

Es war sehr kalt, natuerlich fragte ich Manu, um zum Auto zu gehen! Das war der schliemste Schneefall seit einigen Jahren, hier in Englang. Es war grossartig, die Strassen waren zu geschneid und wir konnte nicht zur Arbeit am naechsten Tag. Hurra, noch ein Tag Urlaub!!

I woke up to Manu putting snow in the bed! She then wanted to make footprints in the snow. It was only 8am, however, I think she had already been on the sherry!

Ich erwachte als Manu Schnee ins Bett brachte! Danach wollte sie einige Fussabdruecke im Schnee machen. Es war erst 8 am Morgen, jedoch denke ich, dass sie schon Sherry getrunken hat!

This was a great corner, you could hear them enter the wood, then see them come down the hill and then whip the car around this corner and accelerate up the other side of the valley. Managed to twist my ankle again as we crossed a small stream to get to this position.

Das war eine gute Kurve. Du konntest die Autos hoeren, wie sie durch den Wald und herab vom Huegel schossen. Sie schleuderten nur so um die Kurve und danach gings wieder aufs Pedal um die naechste Etappe zu attackieren. Als wir einen kleinen Fluss ueberquerten um zur naechsten Position zu gelangen, gelang es mir wiedereinmal meine Knochel zu verdrehen.

Schau, wie dieses Auto nur so ueber den Huegel in der Ferne kommt und um die Kurven zum Publikum rasst. Stille und so Laut in 40 Sec..

As they flew over this bump the stones flicked up into the air. There was a big difference between the drivers, some were cautious whilst others just had their foot to the floor the whole way

Als die Autos ueber diese Kuppe flogen, flogen die Steine nur so in die Luft. Es gab einen grossen Unterschied zwischen den Fahrern, einige waren achtsam waehrend andere die ganze Zeit den Fuss auf dem Gaspedal.

On this weekend we went to Langdale in the Lake District, however, before we arrived there, we made a short stop in Grizedale. A friend of Keith's was taking part in a rally and we thought as we were already go this way, we would watch the race. I'm not really a fan of this sort of thing, but it was a beautiful walk through the forest, because we went from one place to another watching the rally. You had to be careful when standing next to the track not to be hit by the stones, however of the kids were standing quite close.

An diesem Wochenende fuhren wir nach 'Langdale (Lake District)', jedoch bevor wir dort ankammen, machten wir einen kurzen Aufenthalt in Grizedale. Ein Freund von Keith nahm Teil an einem Rally Rennen und wir dachten da wir schon in diese Richtung fahren, koennten wir uns dieses Rennen anschauen. Ich bin ja nicht so ein Fan von solchen Veranstaltungen, aber es war ein schoener Spaziergang durch den Wald, da wir von einem Platz zum anderen liefen. Man musste acht geben nicht von den Steinen getroffen zu werden. Jedoch standen einige Kinder sehr naja an der Strecke.
